hi all ,

this build was based on the revell ford roadster high boy kit , not a lot remained stock :)

the build thread > http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=70600

the bare metall look is not actually a look , i sprayed silver aluminum zink spray on the body and sanded that with superfine paper reveiling the aluminium in the paint.
so actually there is a layer of alu paint on the body ..

went for something i had planned for a while and thats adding speedholes , all holes are drilled out and countersunk from the rear to make the styrene material thin and to look more like sheetmetal ,

the engine is builkd up from several parts out of the partsbox with custom made parts on it

to be hounest i was making a sloped windscreen but that broke when i heated it and bended it to get more shape , i tried to make a new one but i didnt get anything nice so thats something i will add in the future .
also i need to add gauges in the dash , thats alos something i need to waight with i want to really sratch those and make gauges with more detail instead of using the kit decals

some pics in my garage (the garage is a work in progress)

thats super and i like how you carried through the hole theme to the seats and all!

hey for a windshield i feel your pain i always get hung up on trying to make or find a proper looking windscreen. one thing you might try is (seriously) take the model or a sheet of dimensions drawn out down to the store like walmart or grocery store and look for clear plastic packaging you can find the proper shape out of. i know it sounds like a shot in a million but the couple times i have done it, it turned out to be easier than i thought it was going to be, within about 10 minutes of looking i bought some razor whose packaging fit my need exactly. in fact there was an even better place to cut it out of than i originally thought. i dont have that model anymore or i would show a pic but take a stroll down to the big box and see what you can come up with!
