  2. Thanks for the comments everyone..if you lok close you can see the nose is slightly a darker color varation..thats the look I was going for and I really like it..now to the engine and chassis build on this car
  3. ok here are a coupe ive been workiking on. The first one is not to impressive yet.. its still in primer stage, but it had alot of body work to do on it, and actually still does. This is my craftsman truck series truck. and this is my enzo ferrari. I changed the color because i wanted something different than red. the color is tangerine kandy.this still needs buffed out and waxed but here a look.. i just wanted to get some pics up. when things get more completed. the ferrari should be tomorrow i will post more pics. Rick
  4. well its back to the drawing board on the body for this one a complete strip and re paint.. i knew better than to try and shoot in that humidity. Rick
  5. I have several projects going on, and i have a couple that just now coming out of the paint booth that i will post here together and then when i start the builds themselves i will post separately. I am experimenting with different paints and so far im liking the outcome really well. I still use HOK for all my kandy paints but trying a different brand for basecoats. A few pics should be coming tomorrow, but my chevelle im trying to decide on if i want to add a lightning scene to it before i buff it out. If i decide not to its a buff out and photo booth for it. Have a little bit more paint on the enzo ferrari to do, then buff and pics of it..so look for them tomorrow sometime. Rick
  6. i will will watching this one also..trying to get ideas for mine..i want to hinge the hood and roof flaps but havent figured out how to yet. Oh and when did these trucks have a open bed. Rick

  10. Thanks everyone..I will get pics up as soon as I find them Rick
  11. wow very nice. that paint out of a rattle can.. Rick
  12. This is my build im working on now. Im changing the color on the car, its Kandy Tangerine by HOK. Im shooting this body with a sharpe mini gun for the base coat. I have used this gun before and it shoots very well. Here is the box photo. I will post pics after i get done sparying the body.its going slow, its been raining and the humidity is going up and down. Rick
  13. I think misrepresentation of a model by photoshooping the model is totally wrong if you dont put a disclaimer in your post stating its been photoshopped. On the other hand ive seen models that have been incrediblly done and people tell the poster its been photshopped when it hasnt. As with photoshop paint techinicalogy has also changed. There are some really good paints on the market now that will give you a glass finish look, without to much work..I personally dont use model paints to paint my models, i use automotive paint..with a good primer base, automotive paints can be used with plastic models. Rick
  14. Thanks george.. i will definitely do that..havent found many clubs up here..There used to be one that showed up at Sloans when back to the bricks is here but havent seen them in awhile. Rick
