MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. Chuck I may be way off base, but I’m thinking that being as it is a AMT 53 your “Yellow Cat” graphics are a nod to Budd Andersen. (I probably misspelled his name). In any case an amazing build as usual brother!
  2. Emre, you did great justice to these 2 kits and I agree it is very Exner-like.
  3. Super clean build David , right on!
  4. Stephen though your skills may have been lesser when you built this I think it looks fantastic. as was stated above, these were basic kits but despite that you really made it pop! Nice job
  5. I’m not sure who has Johan molds but if anyone does I am with you. I have long wanted one. I actually had pretty much just a body and glass and bumpers back in the early 90s. A friend gave it to me and I had plans to Pro/Street it using AMT Pro/Street Super Bee, Road Runner or GTX chassis since I did not have the Johan interior or chassis. I never did so, and I can only guess that I gave the body to my friend who was a huge Mopar fanatic. Boy what I wouldn’t give to have that body now though because it was in pretty nice shape! Here’s hoping you and I can get one someday soon.
  6. Scott I love it. Very smooth application of the paint as well as the Alclad. Welders goggles and gears and steam pressure pots forever!
  7. Scott fantastic work on all but the Mako gets my vote for favorite too!
  8. Steve this is an amazing piece! Great vision and execution.
  9. Jeff, I have the kit mostly complete minus the decals and the tires/wheels. It looks like everything else is there. I will part the kit out and just send you the windshield and frame if that’s all you want or you’re welcome to everything you see here , Just let me know.
  10. Thankyou for looking at my '67 Shelby, and I really appreciate all the kind encouraging words from not only yourself, but our fellow modelers. I can't take credit for the paint finish though, as this model was a "subscription" build from Agora models. The diecast and plastic pieces all come finished in color, of molded in color. I did however change the interior color to white, as well as doing detailed painting along with some scratch building additions throughout to make the model my own. Thanks again!

  11. Clever work with the decals Bill! This build is burly.
  12. I just picked up a glue bomb one of these from my late friend’s collection. Thanks for the inspiration to rebuild it Dave. I hope mine comes out half as nice as yours..
