detailing an engine

Recommended Posts

Hang around Michael's for a while, they sell all types of small wires you can get creative with.

I do the same thing at Hobby Lobby. Spend a little quality time looking at stuff in the jewelry section and you'll find all kinds of small wires and even some stuff called pony bead lacing that is a tiny hose just right for a radiator hose.

Hey guys. I need a little help. I want to build a 57 chevy 150 sedan "black widow" but i want to add all the engine dress up wires and hoses. were would be a good place to purchase these items???

I used Detail Master's ignition wire for mine. Other details are built from MIG welding tube, that's really great stuff. This is not the best example, but hope it helps.

Hobby Lobby, Micheal's, Radio Shack, The Wires from Head sets, Old Computers, Worn out Appliances, Solder, K&S metal tubing and Music Wire, Evergreen Tubing, rod, and plastic sheets.

Bead Wire, Bead plastic gord, and cheap solid core solder From Craft Stores. Hobby Lobby cares Crape Tape, the 1/16" Flat black added to the outside surface of fanbelts gives a very realistic look, The other sizes and colours make great seat belts, and straps. Don't throw away those old spring driven watches as there are a lot of small gears, screws, etc. in them.

Model Car Garage, Detail Masters, Scale Models by Chris, MAD Distributers, Replicas, and Minitures of Maryland(resin predrilled Distributers, Spar Advance, coils, regulators, and many other engine detailing parts), ProTech, These are the ones I use most!

CHEERS!
