Spray Paint Question

Recommended Posts

Um, wow, I haven't been here in a long time. So now for my question. How do I get spray paint out of the can? It's not for a model, it's for my truck but I figured that this forum would be the best place to ask. I have a can of spray paint for my truck but I need it so that I can brush it on or something like that. I have tried it before and the paint dried before I could use it.

i take a old rag or shirt and wrap the can up in it..then i take a small nail and barley puncher a hole in it...when all the air is out make a larger hole in it...then very slowley pore it into a contaner ...do this very slow, because of the reaction that the air will have with the paint..it will boil over on you if u pore it to fast...

In my opinion, this is just plain asking for trouble.

How to Decant Paint: Dr. Cranky Clinic

The part of the Testors video showing the actual process and how the paint reacts to the air. Note the straw epoxied to the can nozzle. I use two glass jars and alternate between them to avoid mess.
