The first model I did. A MGA from 1959.

About three years ago I was on my way to the start of a rally in France. Near Brussels the engine made some horrible noises. I took of the cylinder head hoping the gasket was gone. Once I had the head off I could see two pistons were severly damaged. No way I could fix the car at that moment. Some friends came to the rescue. The brought their car on a trailer and took mine back home. I still could start the rally. Making a model for them was the least I could do.

Here the replica miniature rally car is finished.

During the summer of 2011 made a replica of a MGA TwinCam for a very close friend and team mate. I used the same base model, a MKII. The TwinCam is an earlier car so I had to change the rear lights. Also the front valance was changed on the actual car as it doesn't have any bumpers.

This is the original car:

This one went to Curacao were the original car was sold in 1962. In Europe one hardly will ever run into a MGA in this colour. But after some digging I found out it is an original colour. Also the combination with the red upholstery is as it used to be sold.

The base model was a true barn find. Wheels and mirrors were broken off and pieces were missing.

Only small changes were made:
