  1. Great news to hear that we will be getting a Starsky and Hutch Torino eventually, I thought that we would have had one years ago!! On the subject of cars we would like to see released, I remember watching a series called 'Due South' and the one character drove a green '71Buick Boattail Riviera. That one would probably sell I think. And what about any 80's four door sedan, Ford LTD, Chevrolet Caprice/Impala, Dodge St Regis/Diplomat? Most were used in police series in one form or another so a few of them would be nice.
  2. Just read through your thread and I am stunned by your build. Your detailing is amazing and having built one of these without the PE detailing, im impressed with all the extra work that you put into yours!! Not wanting to hijack your thread but this is my one... Mine is pretty much built as a showpiece or maybe one that's been restored, I tend to shy away from weathering my models for fear of overdoing it but you have pulled yours of just right!! Again, excellent job, you should be proud!!
  3. Here's some of mine I will throw into the mix... Chevelle Station Wagon Pontiac Firebird Trans AM Kammwagon BMW Z3 Coupe
  4. Hello guys, firstly I would just like to say a very big thank you for all of your thoughts and comments, they really do mean a lot to me. As I was saying, this is the first Belkits model that I have put together and as some of you seem interested in having a go at one, I thought that I would point out a few things that you may find of interest when building yours. As far as I am aware, the 4 Belkit rally cars are, Skoda Fabia WRC, Peugeot 207 WRC, Ford Fiesta RS 2000 and Ford Fiesta RS WRC but there maybe others so check them out. 1. The mould quality is very good and as good as all the other mainstream kit manufacturers but the plastic feels quite thick and mine had a slightly waxy feel to it so a good clean in soapy water is a must before painting 2. The instructions can be a bit vague in places and its probably best to study them properly. There were parts for the Fiesta 2000 which were not needed on the WRC version but the instructions do not tell you this at the time. I spent one night looking for parts for the chassis plate which I later realised I did not need so it may be best to check exactly what parts you do need before building, I know I will be doing that if I ever build another one of their kits. 3. The decals are of excellent quality but be warned, they are pretty much the sort of 'once they are on, they will stay on' so for precise location, plenty of water and micro sol will be needed so that they can be positioned properly. 4. As for decal location, you pretty much have to rely on the box photos as you do not get a decal placement diagram in the instructions as you do with pretty much everyone else, some placement of the decals can be a bit of guess work so it maybe a good idea to get other reference material unless you know for definite where the decals go. I hope these few pointers are of help to those who maybe thinking of buying a Belkits car and that it doesn't put you off and once again guys, a big thanks for all your kind comments.
  5. A very nice model, I don't think I have ever seen this kit before.
  6. Very, very nice!! I may be tempted to build mine now!!!
  7. Hi guys, here is my latest car in the garage, the Ford Fiesta RS WRC. This kit is from a company called BELKITS and is the first time I have built one of their models and I must say I am quite impressed with the quality. As always, all thoughts and comments are welcome and thanks for looking.
  8. That is stunning Geoff, I have the rally version to build. Hope mine turns out that good!!
  9. An issue I had a number of years ago was when I was building a replica truck for my father in law using a rare Matchbox Volvo FL 10/12 kit. Our 6 month old Boxer puppy got into my hobby room after I forgot to latch the door shut and decided to use the cab as a chew toy. It was totally destroyed and the only ones available at the time were going for silly money on e bay. I didn't get much sympathy from the wife either; "he's only a puppy, you should have locked the door!!" But as the saying goes, "what goes around comes around", I had the last laugh when he got into our spare room and decided to play with one of my wife's collectable Beanie Babies!! She didn't get much sympathy from me either...!!
  10. While on a recent holiday to New York, I took the advice of some fellow forum members and visited a couple of hobby stores while I was in the city. This is what I managed to bring home with me: The Dodge Charger, the Ford Thunderbird, the Diecast trailer and the Diecast Ford Crown Victoria were all purchased from the Red Caboose while the Ford Mustang,49 Mercury Wagon, Ford Explorer, Mayers Manx, campus friends set and the garage set were bought from Jans Hobbies.(The Mercury wagon was bought because my wife likes it!!) Once again, I would like to say a big thanks to all who originally helped me find these stores, the only problem I had was not being able to bring back more!!
  11. Bought this at our latest show... [url=http://s1107.photobucket.com/user/markr3/media/676_zpscb2c4faa.jpg.html][/uR Never built any of their kits before, they have also released a Fiesta S2000 WRC, Peugeot 207 WRC and the Skoda Fabia WRC ,all in 1/24 scale. Have just started on the Fiesta so will post up pics when completed.
  12. This is what me and my wife share... A 2003 Ford Fusion 5 door hatchback, inherited from her mother, full service history from new with just over 42,000 miles at the moment. My daily driver....
