Scale-Master
I started this a couple months ago as part of a group build. Ive worked on it for a couple hours (at a club meeting just cleaning parts) to a several minutes a day getting some paint on it. So far it appears to be an exceptionally well fitting kit. The only issue Ive come across is a weak fit for the rear sway bar, (that is probably only noticeable because of how well everything else fit.) blunc
that's a decent looking tranny on that engine, I'm gonna have to seriously consider getting some casting supplies and make a few spares, I get so tired of four speed transmissions in almost every kit I have. Scale-Master
The engine/trans is very well designed too. The ignition wires are molded in and easy to paint. It has a separate oil pan for the engine and trans. They also did a very good job of hiding where the ejection pins/holes are. While clearly visible in these pictures, they are hidden very well once fully assembled.
mustang1989
Looks like you're doing a great job on the build there Mark. I always liked these vehicles from the front. What makes me wince is the thought of having to work on that moveable roof at the dealer. I had a couple of these that just didn't want to be fixed. lol Edited April 17, 2015 by mustang1989

Scale-Master
Thanks guys. I already shot the body colors, but since I had some leftover clear in the airbrush from doing a spot repair on my buddy’s F355 on Saturday, I shot the hood. I still have a few more decals to apply to the body before it is ready for clear.
Scale-Master
Weather was good for painting last night so I shot the clear on the body. The base paint is all Tamiya. Mica Red for the top, Pearl White fading through Gloss Aluminum, Light Gunmetal and Gunmetal Gray; all rattle canned. The flame accent border is made up of decals from a sheet I produced a few years ago.

Scale-Master
Thanks guys! The interior and engine bay are done. The fit of the parts is still good. I’m guessing my color choice for the wheels will be too bold for many…
kelson
Nice work so far,i built this kit last year the only issue I had was the wheels were very wobbly when I attached them to the metal axles.
Scale-Master
Thanks for the heads up. I was starting to think it would be an easy all the way through build. I had the same wobbly issue with the Mustang a few months back, I better check that out before final assembly.

Scale-Master
Thanks guys. I tried to finish the body as much as possible before installing the interior and chassis. The headlights are a little less that a positive fit, but still line up well with just a little patience. The main grille bar fits well with no cement. Custom Mike
I loved building this kit, but like Curtis said, the rims are a bit wobbly on the axles, but a bit of superglue took care of mine. I like the paint scheme and graphics, and really want to see those rims on it!
