  1. Wow, some very cool tires you found there - I dont understand you will change them at all, they look very cool as they are, as you said yourself: anything goes because "madmax/post appoc means using what ever you got" and those wheels could have have been found on some military equipment and then used on the car (big rig) I think the very "business" look of them are perfect for a post apocalyptic/ Mad Max look. Just my 2 sence. (however, if you do resin cast them I would love to buy some, if you would let me) Just awesome!! Bjarne "spaceman" Graves - Denmark
  2. Thanks - that is just the hole idea with this build to ge a little different look while still having those big rims/tires on it. Thanks Bjarne "spaceman" Graves - Denmark
  3. Its been a while since I've posted last time in this treat, but I'm building an Tootless zombiehunter vehicle - that I would like to ad to this caravan. Its a build I call "Last Girl Scouts" and its origin is a '51 chevy Fleetline cut op in pieces and put back together again a little shorter so I didn't have to elongate to roof and because I think it looks cool that way: shorter, chopped and really cut up fenders to give room for some big mud/rockcrawler tires on beadlock rims. I have been looking for some time, at the military guys and the beautyful work they do with all the weathering and rust and mud/mudsplash and all the other things they do to make their tanks and armoured vehicles look so thrue to nature. Then I bought Mr. Crankys book and I really wanted to try this out and then found this community build and I just had to participate - just like when things fall into place. Well as I said this is the first time I'm trying out this kind of paint-scheme, but dr. crankys book really helped me a lot with the first steps. I still need some colorwork on the body and some rusty her and there and some mudsplash in the end, but I feel god about this. Now all I need is a interior and a chassis converted to 4x4 or taking a frame from a 4x4 truck, not shure wich way to go about it, but thats the next step, hope you enjoy it. PS: I also added one of the girlscouts that Im trying to build for this entry. Bjarne Graves - Denmark
  4. Thanks ! he he .. no there isnt much left of the back .. or the front for that matter. Im crazy about fastbacks too. Bjarne
  5. WOW - That truck looks so cool and frigthening that I would retire if I was a zombie Just love the style of your build . Keep it comming please. Bjarne
  6. ''The last Girlscouts'' Its a some time ago I started this build, so here is some progress pictures on the build. I have no pics of the chopping of the car, got carried away I guess and forgot to take pics, but here is some of the painting, i want it to look old and used, so I started by painting it in different brown colors and added some dark at the bottom and along the fenders etc and ended up adding som orange and yellow to make it look rusty. Now I have added some salt to it and it is ready to get a top-paint, but still not shure what color or colors it will be ?? As you can see it will become rusty old build, that once was chopped and cut, but now is used as a toothless zombie hunter car. Later Bjarne
  7. ''The last Girlscouts'' This is how I'm going to deal with all those terrible zombies, when they come crawling from all corners of the world. I've bee thinking (dangerous thing to do ) about making a vehicle that has some lines from the wwII era crossed with some big off-road tires like the rock-crawler guys use and cutting a lot of the original body of, to get it more practical in all sorts of terrain - kind of like the baja-bugs. Who needs a front that keep digging in to the dirt, when it goes over some off-road terrain? - simply cut it of!! who needs the rearend digging in, just when you're about to get thru the final ditch with hordes of zombies in your tail ?? simply cut it of !! Etc Heres some prebuild photos of cutting of whats not necessary anymore: More details on this build soon, as I have chopped it and chopped of all the shaded areas. Later. Bjarne
