Robert81
I've had this one on and off the bench for close to a year. For some reason the wheels I wanted to use just didn't do it for me. This kit is the wonderful Revell 67 Corvette kit. The wheels came from the recent reissue of the Revell 50 Ford F-1. The engine is a 427, with a cross ram intake. The heads and water pump have been painted aluminum to represent aftermarket parts. The headers and sidepipes will be added after the body is painted (not shown). The engine is all box stock. The interior is box stock except for the addition of the Racing bucket seats from AMT's F&F 70 Monte Carlo. It is done in black and blue. The brush stroke are not as visible in person. The dash has white face gauges, and the steering wheel from AMT's 55 Belair (not shown) I shaved the bumpers and filled the rear exhaust ports in the body for a cleaner look. Aside from the wheels, seats and steering wheel, this is box stock. It is far from finished, but I hope you like it.

ismaelg
Just got back from a week out of town and getting up to speed on the forum. What color will this car be? Nice going. Those wheels look good. Nice engine. Just a suggestion: If you have some dullcoat, you can use it to tone down the shine on the floor. Thanks!
cruz
Very nice choice of rims there, I have always loved that year Corvette!!!!
gregbbear
Hey man, I like your vette. That grandsport type hood is cool. That was a nice option for Revell to put in the box. Ismael might know this, but isn't that intake like one that Greenwood used on one of his racing L-88s? Maybe the Spirit of Lemans car? I'm looking forward to seeing the progress. Robert81
Thanks for the comments, guys. The paint will be a two tone Blue fade for top to bottom. Something like the Mako shark. The 1963Grand sport Corvettes used a cross-ram Weber intake for the small block Chevy engine, similar to this one for the big block Chevy. The wheels where a difficult choice, I had wanted to use the American Torque Thrust 2 and big and littles from the Revell 32 3 window, but I could not get the rear wheels to fit. These wheels are 20 inch Coddington's from the recent reissue of the Revell 50 Ford F-1. I think they work well with the modern Street Machine look I'm going for.
