Not to get political but july. 4th along with memorial day are days to remember our veterans. But everyday we should remember them the same way

There is NOTHING political or wrong about patriotism, appreciation, and respect for our nation and the people who have sacrificed to earn and guarantee our freedoms.

Happy Birthday, USA. Happy Fourth of July!

Getting a haboob blowing in tonite here...not the best way to start the holiday weekend...lots of dust, tree needles and leaves in my pool :(

I'll see your habob and raise you a hurricane! Tomorrow is going to be all kinds of wet and soggy.

To celebrate the fourth, through the end of July, the Boston Pops has posted their July 4th cocnert- held on the 3rd to get around the bad weather, online.

Download if you want and enjoy. 2-1/2 hours of great music. http://bostonpopsjuly4th.org/

Happy Fourth to all, and remember all those who have served our nation in any capacity- armed services, government employees, public safety. Yes, even elected officials. The ones that do their jobs properly deserve our thanks.

The 4th of July is kinda like anyother day and has been for quite awhile. Most all the stores are open with huge sales, the restaurants, gas stations, etc. are all open as well for "business as usual." Back in the 50's most everyplace was closed on this holiday, except for the neighborhood tavern. Yes, it was even hard to find a gas station open on a holiday. Don't forget to "fly da flag" today in honor of our great country's independence, and have a great day.

Very True Nick, I do remember when most stores and businesses were closed on many of the holidays, now it seems the only day off many workers get is Christmas day!

While it is important to "fly da flag" today, I fly one every day as a reminder of my freedom and the brave soldiers who defend it.
