MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. It's probably not something I will buy, but I have a lot of appreciation for the fact that your company is tooling up a new variant of this kit. It's such a great, relatively cheap way to maximize the potential of an existing mold.
  2. The AWD "package" with the updated brakes and wheels debuted for the 2014 model year, the last year before the facelift. Definitely makes spotting a 2014 model easy.
  3. Round2 could include some Nite decals as well. Would be accurate since they're marketing the truck as a 1992.
  4. I'm guessing name badges, tail gate trim, and interior dash instrument faces. I can see the decal page being fairly spartan since the Flareside option limits what the corresponding decal sheet might be, but I hope I'm wrong.
  5. It's been a while since I've posted an update. Long story short, I laid the clear on too thick during my initial paint session so I had to strip and repaint. I only had enough clear left to do the hood and tailgate. Once I get more, I will finish clearing the rest of the body. This picture really shows the difference between the Tamiya Dull Red uncleared and cleared.
  6. You also just missed modelfest in Ventura a few weeks ago. It's usually held every February.
  7. I concur with Bob's points. I will also add that Mr. Hobby primers are much easier to strip than Tamiya primers. Tamiya paints strip very easily, but their primer can be extremely tough. Tamiya primer is a great product, but Mr. Hobby is much more versatile.
  8. I'm looking for a replacement tailgate for the newly issued Chevy C-3500 Dually kit. I'm going to assume that the C-1500 tailgate is the exact same piece and will work just as well. I'm not sure if there's compatibility issues between the 90's versions of the kit and the newly tooled version.
  9. Thanks for sharing! I live a few miles away from the venue but unfortunately was out of town that day. I was itching to register some of my stuff for the first time.
  10. Great, I would definitely be interested if you're willing to part with it.
