Making some progress here. Some chrome was stripped and some parts either primed or primed and painted. Tires in this kit are pretty bad. I was able to find some 2 piece resin slicks that are much fatter than the stock ones and should look better. One the fronts it looks like I will be stuck with the kit ones as I could not find anything else suitable. Still lots to do but going forward.

Not very far yet Dan but have not discovered and big problems yet. The body is multi piece but goes together well. Too much chrome for my tastes but that's an easy fix. And the tires are not very nice. I wish it had a turtle deck or a pick up box for the rear.

Just discovered that they do not include a fan belt of any type. Not a huge deal but thought I would mention it. Also they suggest that you wire up the engine with thread. They have a hole in the magneto for wire but then want you to glue the thread ends to the block as no holes are included there. Again not a problem but thought that was odd.

Hey Ray, the build looks amazing. Since you mentioned a turtle back would be great to have on the back, got me thinking just how tuff would it be to scratch build one. Wondering if there was ever a 1/16 T with a turtle back in the 60's? Anybody know?
