youngtiger1
Hey Guys, I'm a new member here. I joined this site while back and surfed here without login, but now I sure can use some help from fine modelers here. I normally do Aircraft and armor but just recently I purchased the Revell 1/25 Kenworth Australian truck and 1/16 Peterbilt rig at a local model show. I will like to build the 1/25 scale truck into car hauler and 1/16 into a wrecker. Only down side, I need some detail plans to build these conversion and I looked all over the net searching for these but no luck. I've found a lot of pics but no plans. Can anyone help point me in the right direction so I can make these some what accurate measurements? I sure will appreciate any help. TIA. martinfan5
Before any one can help, we need to know what kind of wrecker and car hauler you want to build
youngtiger1
Hey Martin, thanks for the respond. youngtiger1
Oh and for the 1/16 truck...I do have trailer in 1/16 scale as well. That will give me the back wheels and axles.
espo
I think that AMT or Revell used to make a 1/25th car hauler. It came with two Pontiac Firebirds from around '92 or '93. It was very complete with chains and ramps and stuff.
youngtiger1
David, I was thinking about getting the revell trail for the conversion but finding that kit now is hard to find. At least, at a reasonable price.
Fat Brian
Yeah, the Revell kit is nice but you will pay a bunch for it. Just keep an eye out on ebay, they are on there a good bit and maybe you can catch one that gets missed. Here is one now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/150927280736?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Edited October 21, 2012 by Fat Brian
george 53
I have two of those Revell car hauler kits an neither of them came with a load. The box SHOWS a load on it, but they AREN'T included in the kit.
youngtiger1
Hey George, you want to sell one? You know your not going to build them...lol j/k Thanks for the info guys. Fat Brian
There is a Revell car hauler on ebay right now for $118 with free shipping, watch out for the seller though she is a pain in the butt for sure.
highway
Don't let the price of the Revell kit put you into something you wouldn't be happy with Mike. I would concider anywhere from $75 to $100 reasonable for it if I were buying another. I have this one mated to Revell's Pete snaptite, and only two of the cars in this pic are plastic, the Impala in the middle of the top deck and all the cars on the bottom deck are diecasts.
