Kevins not a bad guy. Whatever happened that affected his business is unfortunate. From he small amount I'm out its not worth the effort for me to chase. If you have issues communicating just keep emailing him. In the end I believe he will come through but I'm over it at this point

this is what people depend upon. I just had a credit card replaced because BoA noticed odd activity. usually there'll be a few test charges ($3 - 20) to see if the card works before the fun begins.

I just received my 914/6 transkit from Strada, i don't recall exactly when i ordered it but seems to me it was about 2 weeks ago, and at that stage it was a "preorder" according to their website. especially considering it was the Christmas holiday, i think that is well within tolerances. i would buy from them again and i would certainly recommend them based on my experience. just thought i would chime in with a followup on my earlier post.

Sadly negative experience here too, emailed ahead of ordering, and ended up not getting my product, even after long wait, didn't charge me, but that's hardly the point ...how hard is it to indicate up front items which are or are not in stock? Avoid Strada if possible IMO

My experirence with Stada has been all good, for several years now. Never been charged for a product that did not ship. Although as another gent mentioned there are alot of good "canned" shopping carts out there and I wish Strada would upgrade, as theirs is now outdated.

I have a pending order since a year or so back, and I have allready paid trough Paypal, I contacted them a while ago asking for my things but they were still out of stock...wish I knew that when I ordered.

I think when things are out of stock there should be a notice on the webshop so you don't order them, who knows when they will be back in stock again...if ever.

I got to agree with that. I think the secret might be: don't order anything that is not in stock or expected to be in stock shortly, and I guess the only way to guarantee that is to contact him personally first. he did just send me a thank you email and I responded back and he got right back to me but we all know how that can be sometimes.

right now I am considering a further order of the HRM Cheetah kit...hmmmm

my experience in business communication has everyone responding, sometimes to the point of being overly solicitous, when things are going swell. but as soon as there's a hint of a problem, folks shut right down and make believe you don't even exist.

just as everyone wants to be your friend when you're riding the crest, but it's the guys that step up when there's a problem that have my respect.

I've gotten 2 calls from suppliers (jack @ model round-up & norm @ replicas and miniatures) because what I ordered was not within arm's length, and will continue to do business with them as long as they'll have me.

A peculiar thing was that I got an email from Strada the same day just after I wrote in this thread saying my order is now shipped...I did have two orders there but the email did not give any indication of if it was both or just one, and in that case wich one.
So we'll see what's coming.

Funny. I got the same thing a few days ago, about a day or two after I posted in this thread.

I have mixed feelings about dealing with Strada Sports. They certainly offer quality products for a niche modeler’s market. If you order from them, follow a suggestion posted on here (can't recall when or by whom), always check inventory levels first before ordering!

With My first experience, I placed an order on-line and paid in full for a Studio 27 GT40 detail set. Accepting the fact that ordering parts from USA into Canada takes some time, I followed up with on my order after 6 weeks to see where things were at. On my second attempt to reach out, I received a response that the parts would be ordered from Studio 27 ( in Japan) in a bout 3 weeks from that point. Wait – WHAT!!? After 6 weeks and my cash in hand, my part wasn’t even on order to the vendor? You may guessed that I promptly asked for a refund and received one, but only after being criticized for not respecting that they have a minimum purchase they need to place with the vendor before they ship the parts.

I do understand and respect dealer agreements with the vendor, but that’s not my problem. Especially if there is no communication to advise my purchase is on backorder.

I have cautiously ordered parts from Strada at other times, but I made sure to email and inquire about stock levels before submitting the order on line. Those experiences have been more pleasant.

You won't ever see me going near his website ever again. Same problem so many here have had. After a three months wait I still had nothing. His response to my email came but only after two or three days. My biggest problem with him and it is huge is his website clearly states he has this stuff in stock. It doesn't say hey folks I'm a little guy working out of my one bedroom apartment and I don't have this stuff ready to ship. I could understand and even tolerate that. If I press a web button that says you have it I expect exactly that not three months wait so I can get an email back saying you are still waiting for the supplier to ship. Boils down to he lied to me and for that you'll never hear me say anything good about his site. Someone already posted it but in this day and age there is no excuse for having a website run like that.

Never ordered from Strada Sports but have had similar experience from other vendors that stock some of the higher end detailing items. What bugs me is while waiting forever for an item(which may never come), I could have ordered it elsewhere and had it in my hands. Worse, while waiting, the item was discontinued and can no longer be found anywhere.

I had several good transactions with Strada but the last items that I ordered, some machined aluminum parts and some photoetch parts have never arrived, no correspondence and not much hope of ever receiving my items. Probably close to $80 worth. It is going on 2 years since ordering the parts, unacceptable.

I will not be ordering again from Strada.

Where you charged for em?

Did you email him at all?

No kidding!

No retailer should ever make a customer wait that long for anything. Ridiculous doesn't begin to describe it.

Knowing how their website works, he was most likely billed before the order was processed.

Hope there is resolution in the near future.

Wish I knew of this thread before ordering from Strada. I'm in the same boat. Ordered and paid for an item that was listed as "in-stock" only to find out that the items were actually NOT in stock. The frustrating part is that I only found out the items were not in stock because after two weeks of wondering why I never received any "confirmation" email or when I'll get my order, I finally sent them an email to check. Well...the response came days later and still without a clear answer to my inquiry. It's been a few months now and each month I send an email to ask about the status and days later he'll respond saying that he needs to look into it. Really? Now I have to wait a few more days for you to respond again? Couldn't you look into it before responding back to me just now? I don't get it !! This is good business?

I hope others that intend on making a purchase from Strada have the opportunity to read this thread beforehand and get a chance to make a choice based upon others experiences and not from someone providing false information. If i was made aware of the fact that my order was out of stock and may take a few months of not knowing when or what would become of my purchase and have to pay up front for it, well then I would be content with my decision. But in reality, that's not how it took place. I was led to believe the items were available for purchase and shipped upon payment. That's my definition of "in-stock". And lack of communication means there is something to hide because the truth is always easy to tell. I'm going to start the process of getting a refund. I would guess that it's safe to assume that this will be another whole bunch of bull.
