  1. No, I didn't start this topic to "promote" anything. I've seen this auction and since I am a Pocher builder and presently I am restoring an Alfa 8C2300 Monza (see the topic) and I thought the aluminum rotors for sale at a starting price of 1 euro was a good bargain and I've shared this information with the community.
  2. Here are the rear axle with correct brake lever supports and the head covers with brass acorn nuts
  3. Hello guys, I've sent an email to the seller to ask for a buy now but he said that it is a promo sale so he wants to wait the auction ends. The seller wrote me that the rotors are the first part they are producing for upgrading Pocher kits and that more parts are about to be ready and that soon they will be on line with the website. He also told me that these rotors are machined but soon they will be available in aluminium cast like the real car. I'll keep an eye on them and wait for the website to be on line. Best Marco
  4. Hello everybody, while surfing on ebay I found this auction for a set of 4 aluminium brake drum rotors for the Pocher alfa romeo. It looks interesting, they also say that they have more parts to come. here is the link http://www.ebay.it/itm/POCHER-GENUINE-ALUMINIUM-BRAKE-ROTORS-1-8-/251281640292?pt=Modellismo_Statico&hash=item3a818d8b64&_uhb=1#ht_500wt_1414 Best Marco
  5. The engine showing correct generator support
  6. test fitting of the machined chassis supports for dampers and springs. The machined parts are made for testing the dimensions and fitting on the rails, I will post soon the definitive parts.
  7. Hello everybody, some pics of the real engine.
  8. The frame had those ugly and not prototypically correct damper and spring mounts. So they have been flattened and new ones are under work. The new ones will be machined aluminum
  9. Some progress on the engine. The back plate for the compressor is too narrow and a 2mm widening has been done with styrene strips. (to be shaped) One the engine mounts the holes are opened for the fuel and oil lines, and for the wiring.
  10. Pocher engine, notice the flat support and ugly alternator and starter Prototype, notice it is round shaped
  11. Hi everybody, I am a fan of 1/8 scale, new to this forum and I would like to share with you my restoration project of a badly assembled and even worse restored in the 90's Alfa Romeo 8C2300 Monza from Pocher As you can see from the pictures of the model before the beginning of restoration the conditions where very bad. disassembling the car The engine is the first part being taken care. Pocher models are fine but they have many imperfections in shape, mould, wrong components and so on. If you have ever built a Pocher you know how painful can be to get the parts to match. All the cast on nuts and bolts have been removed and 1mm holes have been drilled. Brass hex head screws have been used. The engine mounts have been modified to correct shape so the steering can be mounted correctly and the ugly pocher screws recess filled with putty and also the engine halves have been joined and filled with putty then sanded The oil pan with brass hex nuts and copper rivets The exhaust modified as a two piece
