jeffinvt
I found a link to Adirondak Modelers Mafia, but they seem to have gone the way of the Dodo bird... Looking for an active group in the Glens Falls or Lake George area, or in western Vermont for that matter.

Hey Jeff, None that I know of, Our "Adirondack Glue Crue" is the last of the dinosaurs, many thought we faded away, nahhhhh, we just got older. Heard about the mafia you mentioned, nothing since they posted a flyer a few years ago down here at Mohawk Valley Railroad. There are a few builders around here, I know a couple that travel south to the Newburgh MCC Meetings. Sorry we couldn't help more! 93Z34
The Adirondack Modelers Mafia disbanded after 18 months of trying to make the club fly. A lack of participation and enthusiasm dictated the club's fate. Right now there is a small number of us who gather informally on occasion to swap ideas, view eachother's work, swap kits, etc. We don't call ourselves a club, but we do enjoy eachother's company. Foxer
Nice to see there's some old glue sniffers left in the area anyway. Everyone seems to be spread pretty far and wide.
Smart-Resins
My ubderstanding is there is one in Syracuse, wich helps put together the mini nats at the east coast event. VW Dave
If you ask anybody from NJ/NYC, they'll tell you that Newburgh is "upstate." Newburgh is well worth the trip, even though the Monday evening monthly meetings make it a little hard on us "further-northerners." There's lots of talent, enthusiasm and sharing within the group. It's been several months since I made my last meeting due to the cost of travel, but the TNMCC doesn't base member status on attendance. I think Newburgh would be too far, I'm actually in Vt. Glenns falls is real close to me though. I share the sentiment that Brian made, It seems as though the hobby is spread thin in these parts. Thanks for all the replies, Jeff
