Stripping Lingberg Police Car Pre-Paints?

Specifically the Georgia State Patrol kit. I've tried Dawn Power Dissolver, I've tried brake fluid, I've scrubbed it with a scouring pad. It's currently sitting in a puddle of Windex. The blue paint has for the most part come off but the white paint is not budging. I can scrape it with my finger nail but I'm looking for a more realistic solution. Any ideas?

Have you tired CSC(purple cleaner/power) or 97% or higher alcohol , or how about Easy Off oven Cleaner ?

I haven't been able to find the purple power and I don't have any alcohol that strong but I do have the Easy Off and will try it next. Where do you buy the 97% alcohol?

I rubbing alcohol is 97percent but may be wrong. I may have been easier to buy one unpainted.

Try using Castrol Super Clean de-greaser straight but wear rubber gloves it can be hard on the hands...afterwards clean with warm soapy water let air dry.

Walmart has Purple Power. Like $4 for a big container of it.

Look for Super Clean(used to be Castorl Super Clean ).It's a bit stronger than Purple Power and I've found that it works better.

I have rubbing alcohol, I'll give that a shot tonight.

91% alcohol should strip the paint after soaking for 24 hours. I stripped one exactly like this recently. 91% alcohol can be found at your local pharmacy, Wal Mart, even grocery stores. Regular rubbing alcohol, which is only 50 to 70% alcohol (depending on brand) won't strip the paint. Place the body in a container large enough to permit filling with 91% alcohol that completely covers the body. A container with a lid is best, but you can cover it with plastic wrap if you don't have a lid for it.

Quick followup, I put it in a Ziploc with some 91% alcohol. An hour or so later the paint was off like water on Rain-X. Thanks!

I get 91% Isopropyl Alcohol (very high strength rubbing alcohol) at Walgreen's--but I believe CVS also carries it, as well as Walmart in their pharmacy department.

As a sidebar here: Most prepainted plastic bodies are done with a non-penetrating lacquer (pretty similar to Tamiya, or Modelmaster lacquers), and once dry that stuff doesn't react much at all to anything but 91% or higher isopropyl.

The "Tampo" pad-printed graphics are done with an enamel-like ink, which dissolves off pretty readily with enamel thinner, or mineral spirits (naptha).
