  1. I tried to mimic the blower from Vin Diesel's Charger in the first Fast and the Furious movie. I'm pretty much complete, except that just need to straighten out the blower. Along with some body work and a lot of sanding.
  2. May I ask your prepping process and if you use any polish? Great build.
  3. I got three assortment of styrene sheets for about four dollars. It's not very expensive.
  4. I was going to remove the wheels. But I accidentally sprayed one of the rims with the cars body paint. I figured it looked good since they were only mist coats and left some of the chrome exposed.
  5. I tired to make a hood scoop from scratch.
  6. The build is amazing. I've been following it since day one. What kind of decal solution do you use?
  7. I already tested it. I have firmly pressed the wires against the block. It was 24 gauge wire.
  8. I decided to take the advice of the members on this forum. I got some scale wires and wired them to distributor. I know they are longer than usual. But they sure beat my garden hose wire I used on the engine for my last build. Here are some pictures.
  9. I appreciate the advice. Just not so much when it's repetitive. On my next build I'm going to try to use some scale wire. I hope to hear more from you all.
  10. I've worked on a few engine in high school. You do not have to be a mechanic to know that a real engine is a lot different from a 1:25 plastic scale engine. After all there is about a five thousand dollar difference. So all I'm saying is if you're going to sit here and keep telling me to change the wiring in my engine, go wire a real engine. Stop being so critical.
  11. So what if the wires aren't accurate? The paint is good enough for me and it's the effort that counts. It's not the only model I'll be building and next time I will be sure to use scale wire that isn't yellow because I know it's those intricate details that make the model.."it's all about having fun." That seems to be the most common phrase on this forum, unfortunately I think it should be "it's all about critiquing the minimal details of the new hobbyists project"...thanks for the encouragement guys.
  12. I'm just wondering, is your curiosity relevant to any of the above mentioned posts?
  13. I should have made this clearer from the beginning: the engine is too small to replicate a 1:1 engine completely. I am more interested in the sanding and painting applications, because to me that takes a little more skill than wiring a tiny engine that is incapable of working. I think you're all being a too critical. Instead of wiring a 1:25 scale engine, why don't you wire a 1:1 engine? That takes a little more skill no?
