  1. i think the movie car had a twin turbo'ed 302 with a little red button...
  2. this is a pict before I fixed the angle of the torsion bars. Top pict via engine bay.... body crooked... Wrapped original frame with .15 styrene far from finished... I'll hopefully get this done in time for the IPMS show in fairmont, mn March 28th.... At least in primer and no wiring, piping, Brake and A/C Lines... I'll be building it to K2500 specs since I just picked up a 1:1 that way... "Problem" is finding time to scratch out 3/4 ton rims... Might go aff the basis of the original 89 silverado promo rims and mod a different center. Next is to scratch out the rear springs to the correct arch and then to mod the monogram 66 chevelle's (black kit) 12 bolt to an updated corporate 14 bolt. I just received a couple junkyards courtesy of ebay and I robbed the transfer case from a renegade cj8. :blahblahblah: it wouldn't have taken me so long but i scratched and completed it with a passenger side drop instead of the correct drivers side drop. am i close?
  3. Sure would be nice to live someplace warm for winter builds. Great 'licks... Are you "base, tint, pearl, clearing" or Enamel? Homemade indoor booth?
  4. I'm gonna start working on the front diff and transfercase using slices of .118 styrene.. I am debating on utilizing the half shafts from an ancient diablo bash kit for the CVU axles on each side.. I'll be using individual shocks from a quad shock set up from another ancient kit.... (Orange molded dodge built it 12 years ago and then was demolished) I'll be scratchin up the shock mount/pockets problably this week.. Some reference picts: This whole Mr Mom thing is taking my time..
  5. Here is what it looked like as 2 wheel drive.... mock-up
  6. Heres the frame i am working on... 3/4 ton IFS front I kinda a newbie again... it been around 8 years since i picked up an x-acto.
  7. Been working on it on and off.... getting the proportions closer...
  8. Far from satisfactory.... (looks better in person) Am I close though? I will be using the GMC emblem from the AMT Sonoma kit. Plan is to pop copies for a "fleet" diorama. Since i am a newb can you use a piece that has putty on it for an original? Do I have to paint it/seal it with a high gloss paint prior to attempting a resin cast?
