Mack R685ST cement mixer

Recommended Posts

Hello. My name is Dave and I recently returned to the hobby of building 1/25 scale model truck. Built a few kits straight out the box, and now have decide to kit bash an AMT Mack R685ST and a AMT Ertl Paystar 5000 cement mixer. Here is my mock up so far.

Great idea! Did you have to streatch the frame on the R685ST much?

I used the DM600 frame and total length is 14 inches. By looking at your pics if you shorten up the water tank you may be able to squeeze it in behind the fuel tank without stretching the frame but mock it up with a tube to represent the water tank and see if you like the look. Otherwise extend the frame 1 inch to 1.5 inches.

The Mack with the mixer unit will be an awesome combination. If you want to change up the look a little you could always move the water tank down and mount on the frame.

You seem to own a pretty nice Mack mixer yourself Mike, if your avatar is saying anything! i think you posted that somewhere over here already, haven't you?

Thanks Robert. I posted it quite a while ago and I think I built it almost 6 yrs ago from an old gluebomb DM600 Mack that I added a new mixer from the Paystar mixer.
