  1. Steve, I researched these guys last year and they appear a little sketch. First, their business address is a box at a UPS store in a strip mall. Leading me to believe he’s just a middle man collecting items/parts to be sent to plater. (Which can be ok since chrome tech and LMG did the same thing). Second, IIRC, I think they have few google or Facebook reviews that aren’t the best. If you do use them we’re definitely interested to hear how it went.
  2. This was an engineering concept by Tom Hoover that never made it. It would have had Chrysler corp either use up the remaining supply of max wedge cylinder heads or have them recast for 440 Super Stock A body n 1971. Can’t remember the entire story. Was intended to be a short production run similar to the 68 hemi Darts and Baracudas; 50-100 cars to be eligible for NHRA super stock. I think Mr Norm Garage did this prototype about 10-15 years ago. What might have been!
  3. Very nice, clean build! The Myers Manx kit with a bug body.
  4. Thanks Jeff Those are supposed to replicate the Levis pants buttons for the "Levi edition." The new kits will have all the differnt Jeep package decals including the Golden Eagle hood letter decals and gold pinstrips..
  5. I see that Revell will be releasing the old Monogram CJ-7 kit this year, with a similar paint scheme for the box art. Tim Boyd's article on this kit a few years ago in Scale Auto inspired the build. A very easy and well detailed kit for an old Monogram. Model Master metallic brown enamel to replicate the 1970's orange peel paint. Poached the the decals from different versions of the kit.
  6. Slixx has both the car number and sponsor/contingency decals hidden on a couple of their decal sets. Check the website for Part #1931 Sheet M for the car number. "Quarter Panel" decal B Part # 1934 has the Classic Wax, Hauer, and Quaker State sponsor decals.
  7. IIRC that is a 67 Acadian running in either NASCAR or AHRA Ultra Stock with a Chevy 427. Ohio driver named Doc Dixon.
