I found someone on eBay who is casting them in resin and I bought one cheap, but it's pretty bad (I got what I paid for). Ayatollah Posted May 29, 2009 Share Posted May 29, 2009 I got this from R and R about 4 years ago. Wasn't bad at all, other than missing the tail lights and steering wheel. It looks like the grill/front end is the only major difference between the 1968 and 1970 Cadillac Deville besides the seats. Yes, but it will take all of my modeling skill to make this thing work. Fortunately, I have an unbuilt Johan '70 Coupe de Ville to take measurements off of. The only good thing about this thing is that it can be ground down, and The Modelhaus has the chrome bumpers, wheels, and tail lights. Ron Hamilton Posted June 29, 2015 Share Posted June 29, 2015 I bought one of the Promolite '69 Coupe de Villes in resin, and it is every bit as nice as my unbuilt Johan 1969 Coupe de Ville, and it has a convertible boot too. Tom Coolidge (Promolite) does some very nice Resin Kits. One of the '69's will be done as a convertible, and the other will get a Halo Vinyl Roof. My Johan '70 will remain a Coupe de Ville, and will get a Halo vinyl roof too. As a young teenager, I built an annual JoHan 1970, in Black with a Gold Velvet Landau Roof (yes they did those back in the day o real cars) I wish that I could find that old '70, It was not butchered, I would strip it, and re-paint it without that goofy roof. If I get up the nerve, I may do something with that resin '70. I'm afraid to get it out, as I will start working on it. One of these days.
