Must be in the primer for sure, its strange because it was not visible in the silver base coat. The whole thing will be resprayed, im out of candy and this paint is not for sale in Holland so i will choose something else.

I must say the longer I see the color, the nicer it becoms :-)

Bought the color in Czech republic, its way to expensive so ship one bottle so I will go for another color. Dont know what yet, got a motivation issue at the moment <_<

hmmmm ....arno ...you need some pepper ......where ...no ....sun ......ever ....

lol

well i'm sure if you find a nice color you will get the build going again ..

but hmm why not look for like a cool color with a vintage feel to it , i'm sure the shop in ambacht must have some color that gives it that clean but vintage vibe ..

full fendered like that would be cool or could be cool

some color idea's (maybe you hate them) (i love that gray shiney and yet ...)

Yeah Rich, I need loads off pepper, loads ;)

I got some nice colors and the guy here has some also but i need to find something to get the paint off, everything I tried so far doesn't work.

By the way I spend a whole day trying to airbrush nail polish, different types and brands......... frustrating result and the smell in my house was terrible

hmm thats to bad , you did thin it right ?? maybe ask here in the paint topic , i know people have gotten great results .. maybe there is a trick to it ..

but yes i can imagine the smell ... being pffffftt

about the paint i do think the stuff you used is tougher then what the average builder puts on his model .. try to start with some good old fashion elbow grease > or better said sand .. sand as much of as ...

have you tried mr musscle ? put the parts in a seal bag spray it full of the musscle foam and let it sit for ...1-2-3 days

worked for me ounce ...

hey and again if you get tieres of it .. this might be the one shot at rying some weathering .. i know you are like the perfect finish builder and i love your perfect paint jobs (bog fan) but like said if it gets to a point where its not fun anymore like .... hey and i can always help you by giving pointers or ....

  • 2 weeks later...

hmmm unused brake fluid wont work if i'm correct arno ..... ?

i ounce with the other deuce saltracer trew the body in paint stripper and that worked great but then the plastics went soft ...

what about just sanding it smooth with fine paper and then painting it ..

i said it lots of times before on brouwers in the past there is actually not really a need to completly strip paint .. its nice if you have a way to get it off easy but its not a must

just try old fashion sanding i think those cracks you had are in the base coat and it you sand everything flat i think they will not come back ...

and again why not try something different for a change on the body .. like maybe a tad rougher or ....

your always welcome to take the body and fenders to me and let me see them .. i have been doing weird stuff to styrene for a while now lol .. maybe with a nice base coat and some oil paints ..... ?

and hey i still believe you can even get it shiney and perfect without completly stripping the paint of

Ow really so it should be used stuff....

Thought about some weathering, its a shame I sanded the hood and grill already otherwise I could have used the green stuff. I think I will try to sand the other parts also and then another layer of fresh paint.

Thanks for the offer btw :-)
