John Goschke Posted August 2, 2008 Share Posted August 2, 2008 (edited) After doing these on an AMT roadster (see below) it's time to do one on the current "state-of-the-art" Deuce Roadster for eventual resin production. Here's an early mockup showing the re-proportioned Monogram 1/24 "Little Deuce" roof in place on the 2" chopped windshield with the new side profile roughed out in masking tape... Here's an AMT Deuce with a similarly chopped windshield and reproportioned/chopped roadster top... Dennis Lacy Posted September 24, 2008 Share Posted September 24, 2008 It's incredible how much better that kit looks with a correctly proportioned windshield, let alone the top you're designing for it. Thanks, Mike. The car is just intended to be a primed mockup to show what the top will look like. There's no engine, so that's why the gap. These parts really change the character of the model, especially along with the steelies, whitewalls and red primer. I've got a build going that uses the Revellogram Deuce as a basis for a true late 40's-early 50's roadster with leaf spring rear suspension. I will definitely be getting these pieces for it! B.
