Early Stage Mockup; Revell Deuce Chopped Windshield & Roadster Top

After doing these on an AMT roadster (see below) it's time to do one on the current "state-of-the-art" Deuce Roadster for eventual resin production. Here's an early mockup showing the re-proportioned Monogram 1/24 "Little Deuce" roof in place on the 2" chopped windshield with the new side profile roughed out in masking tape...

Here's an AMT Deuce with a similarly chopped windshield and reproportioned/chopped roadster top...

I like it...IMHO the body doesn't seem to line up with the reveals in the frame and is that a gap under the hood sides or just not ready for the camera??

Thanks, Mike. The car is just intended to be a primed mockup to show what the top will look like. There's no engine, so that's why the gap. Otherwise, the body, etc. are in their out-of-the-box location and haven't been fine-tuned at all.

Thanks, George! They'll be available thru Ariel aka Al aka "Dr. Epstein." If you've seen his Merc wagon bodies, you know the castings'll be nice!

Looks great. The chopped windshield is real sharp. These parts really change the character of the model, especially along with the steelies, whitewalls and red primer. I've got a build going that uses the Revellogram Deuce as a basis for a true late 40's-early 50's roadster with leaf spring rear suspension. I will definitely be getting these pieces for it!
