MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. I'm not sure how many were in this series but any of these . I like that it came with an obscure to me vehicle , a scooter and people and things those people would use for the activity . The first one I ever saw was on ebay last year but I missed it .
  2. I watched a documentary on that car which made me want to build that particular car but also reminded me how insane the countach was at that time .
  3. What Lamborghini countach kit is the best ? There are so many kits out there and some are obviously not well done . My only experience was with the Monogram kit , which I felt was an easy build and I felt good about the end result back in the 1990s .
  4. What a difference a decade makes . I'll have to review my list and photo what I actually have now vs then . Affordable 3d printers and several releases from the model companies most of my list is doable .
  5. I had a hard time using the kind you wear , this one has a dimmable light . MagniPros 3X Magnifying Glass... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FSR8HFT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
  6. I always wanted to be a GSL attendee . It was incredible , inspiring and I felt everything I thought I would . I knew I would be there when they announced this would be the last one , the weeks leading up the show made me uncertain I'd make it but at the very last possible minute things clicked into place . Walking into the contest hall Thursday morning I could feel the buzz , my eyes welling up with the realization I didn't miss it , I was there . Recognizing literally every name on every name tag from the magazines and forums would have been a bit too much for this introvert except the first person that I talked to while waiting in line to register was this really nice guy that I share a first name with , he'd been there before , he would nod and wave if he saw me when he was on The move and just sit down and chat when he had some down time . I was very happy when he won best of show . I also had a conversation with Jim Keeler who has four very large chickens and is going to be working on a very large model of the Titanic , yes both of those are related . Seeing Mark Gustavson in his world was exactly as expected and revealing simultaneously . I met many national luminaries , saw so many exquisite models , being in the same place really makes you feel what it's all about . This is by far my best modeling experience. Thanks to everyone that was a part of it !
  7. Thank you for asking . Not right now ,however , I just spent time at GSL so I'm pretty motivated and seeing that nordberg truck at the museum reminded me I didn't even realize it's been 2 years .
  8. I found the nordberg truck at the International model builders' museum
  9. until

I'm looking forward to being there
  10. I don't remember when this kit was last available and I wonder if it'll come back anytime soon .
  11. Consider removing the dust cap as well then you could just replace the whole center , I'd imagine a plain old hole punch would be pretty close to the size you'd need which you could add the lugs to before gluing the center back in .
