MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. The evidence seems fairly clear. It makes parts chrome and in a very scale way. I think durability is only a minor issue, but it is important that it can endure some minor handling and stay as bright as when first shot. Other than the entrance fee it is a promising product.
  2. You would be correct. Not the shine since that is clear here. But it is delicate to say the least.
  3. I spray Alclad and Spazz Stix over light gray gloss enamel with excellent results. The issue is always handling. Keep it to a minimum and it's good. This hat and valve covers are Spazz Stix.
  4. Seriously cool. Nice paint and details. I have the red car box, I need to break it out some day.
  5. A couple of classics. They look good
  6. Donaldson has always been a nice change from the others. You are a kindred spirit no doubt. Keep reading.
  7. Thank you both, I appreciate the kind words.
  8. They all make it here eventually. Thanks for looking.
  9. As I dig through my rather vast stash for something to inspire I often run across either stalled projects or bodies painted when conditions we ripe for later building. These are an example of both by coincidence. The 55 convertible was stalled for reasons that escape me and the Shelby I recall was painted, decaled and polished for building when conditions were not as favorable. Living in the North East as I do requires some planning for the winter months. While I do own an airbrush and booth, it was not always thus. So I must make a choice between the two and I believe I will go with the 07 Shelby. It has far more work ahead and I am also rather pleased with how it turned out. The clear coat added a tint to the white stripes during it's tenure in the box on the shelf and is pleasant to my eye. So Shelby it is. Work begins this afternoon.
  10. "Radical" might tend to understate just how custom this truly is. Like many I was not expecting a minus number of wheels to start, not to mention the rest. Your vision is certainly one far afield from anything most might conjour. "Radical" indeed.
  11. Such a killer car. Great color choice and build. This car would look nice in any color frankly.
  12. Beautiful. I never bought the Revell kit from all those years ago. Then, when I wanted one the aftermarket asked too much. Good to know I will get another shot. Really nice G.
