tubbs Posted December 19, 2012 Share Posted December 19, 2012 trying to drop a 427 cammer into a 66 fairlane. well, its just one of those things that no matter what i do, its just not sitting right in the frame. so, how much different is the front half of the 68 Shelby 500 frame to the fairlane frame? can i get away with that swap? or any other suggestions will be appreciated. tubbs Posted December 19, 2012 Author Share Posted December 19, 2012 Where is it making contact where is shouldn't be? haha, your asking me to remember, Rob........ it was actually getting it low enough for hood clearance. i trimmed soooo much off of the frame, including suspension stuff, that it may be an easier fix just to swap fronf frames. i will have to check it out again to give you more detail on the damage.......................... inless someone has an extra frame laying around.
