  1. Thanks for the ideas. I'm going to pick up some of the testors gold.
  2. I'm working on the Revell '70 Chevelle and I've got this 1:1 photo as a reference. The instructions call for the intake manifold and the exhaust headers to be aluminum. I get that, but the headers don't look aluminum in this picture.. Also I'm wondering what that bronze color is on the master cylinder and the brake booster. I'd appreciate any tips on brush paints and colors for this build.
  3. Thanks everyone. San Diego's got great weather, but mostly low paying jobs, expensive houses, high gas and energy prices, limited mass transit. Yikes, don't get me started!
  4. I recently had a problem with decals that wouldn't fully separate from the decal sheet; they just ripped and fell apart at the slightest tug. I went out and bought some Microscale decal film, but that didn't solve the problem. I tried letting them soak longer, but no luck. I wish I had read this before I destroyed them all.
  5. Thanks. I picked up a flyer on the local club from Discount Hobby Warehouse but haven't followed up.
  6. Greetings, I'm Glen and at the ripe old age of 59, I've decided to start building models again, which I last did when I was about 12-14. After completing a couple of kits, I've realized that age hasn't improved my skills, just my expectations for the results. I've picked up a lot from reading forums and the magazines, but I need lots more practice. So far I've been mostly interested in classic muscle cars. I know I'm going to have questions from all you experts. Is the General forum the place where I should post them?
