  1. I remember talking to Ivo about this kit. He told me he tried building one when they were originally issued. He said it didn't take him long to realize that building the real car was much easier. He said "my paws were just too big for all those little parts".
  2. This thing is absolutely amazing. I've been thinking about getting a 3D printer myself. I was wondering which printer are you using?
  3. I don't believe there were any aftermarket decals made for the Otter Pops cars. The only decals I ever saw were in the Ed McCulloch Revell kit. Slixx made Safety Safari Decals many years ago. They had all of the old Winston Drag Racing logos, etc. I haven't seen any for sale in quite a while. I've never seen any aftermarket decals for the Jolly Rancher Top Fuelers. Only ones made were in the Revell kit from the early 90's.
  4. I'm currently working on this kit and I must say I was really disappointed when I started looking at the parts. As mentioned earlier, the chassis is totally wrong as are the valve covers. There are various other little "flaws" I have found that will need improvement. This kit is a great reason to have a parts box from older kits. I dug through my stuff and found a lot of parts that will make this kit work. I have replaced the transmission tunnel, just waiting for the putty to dry. I wanted to build this thing right, as I was a Lee Shepherd fan when I was little. You could get by building it as is, and it should look good enough. Building it the right way will just take a little longer.
  5. When I used to work with Brent Fanning on his Nitro Funny Car & our Top Fuelers, he ran what was called a "Scott Pump". It was a smaller pump that was in fact run off of a pully which allowed it to be lower in the car. I can't really remember the theory behind the pump, but that's what we ran. None of the cars ever really set the world on fire - it was basically a match race tune-up. The best the Funny Car ran with that pump was something like low 5.20's at 288 MPH back at the 1998 NHRA Topeka Race.
  6. Where did you get the four hole Crower Injector? I have been looking for one for quite a while.
  7. Have you tried http://www.dickharrell.com ? There are some pics there along with a link to the Dick Harrell Facebook Page. There are a lot of pics there. Hope this helps.
  8. I believe the last time I was at Model Empire (West Allis, WI), I'm pretty sure I saw a sheet of them for sale. That is where I got my mine years ago - and for the life of me, I have no idea where I put them. Model Empire has a website I'm sure you can find on Google.
  9. What is the correct color to paint the body? I looked at my local hobby shop, but couldn't find anything close.
