Guest
Nicest General Lee I've seen yet! Is this 1/25 or 1/16 scale? Great work no matter what scale it is! 1/16, the engine compartment gives it away.

Rdkingjay
Gentleman, Thank you for you thoughtful comments on my car. After the time and effort that went into it, I certainly appreciate your comments. I apologize to those who asked, but yes, it is the 1/16th version, re-release from MPC/Round 2. I am proud to say that I have an original version still in plastic and hope to display them both together in my man cave. Thanks again. damop6v8
Stunning build! Great to see a 1/16 MPC General Lee built how it should be ! I had several originals as a 11 yr old kid when they first made it over here into the UK back in 1981, how I wish I stil had them an unopened as you have! Your build thread was a great inspiration too! Anyway I have the re-release now and like you will be modifing to build it properly and may buy another to build as a standard 69 Charger. You certainly set the standard...Well done, superb model of a great TV Automobile icon and 60's Mopar muscle car. Cheers Damian

Rdkingjay
Good evening gents, Just to update you all, last weekend I brought my GL to the MassCar show in Taunton Ma. I was pleasantly surprised to earn first place in the large scale class, as well as grab one of the masters awards for best Dodge. I also got to meet and talk to Mr. "Date Code" and Mopar guru, Steve Magnante. He took great interest in my GL and spent several minutes talking car guy stuff. He was also gracious enough to autograph my build sheet. I guess he was photographing Mopar models for an upcoming issue of Redline Dodge.com. Great guy to talk to and very down to earth. So needless to say it was a fantastic day. I got many great comments on my GL and made some new friends. I also grabbed an original 70's Revell Monroe Handler Mustang from the huge vendor area. I always wanted that kit in the 70's, but didn't have the skill to build it back then. Unfortunately, I am having trouble loading pics from Fotki, all of the sudden, so no show pics. If I get it figured out, I'll post them. Take care all.

Rdkingjay
Also posted in my build thread in Big Boyz, Got it autographed by Catherine Bach aka Daisy Duke, who made an appearance at the spring Turkey Rod Run here in Daytona Beach today. She was very gracious and down to earth and was more then happy to use care in signing the hood of my car. The staff that assisted her were all over my car, asking questions and taking pictures of it. Many comments were made by them, as they were familiar with the particular model and what needed to be done to correct it into a more accurate looking GL. It was a thrilling day for me to say the least. Thank you all again for your comments. take care and thanks for looking.
