  1. I plan on building AMTs new Police Pursuit car. I’m waiting for my local hobby shop to get it in stock. I plan on adding some aftermarket leds on the top for fun. This is the color scheme I want to use. Is that Tamiya Racing White on the top, or something else? I’m thinking of maybe testing a spare part with black undercoat then racing white top coat. What do you guys think? Thank you in advance for your suggestions
  2. Anders, thank you so much for the inspiration on this kit. I’ve always been impulsive I guess, so I went right to Evil bay and ordered the Cord kit , got it for $40 plus shipping. I also researched the cigarette cream color and found it at a place called Streetblisters , I think they are located in Spain. I haven’t received the paint yet, ordered on February 23rd. I’m really looking forward to building my Cord and trying to replicate yours as best I can. Hope you don’t mind. Ray
  3. This guy makes some great stuff. I have bought from him a couple of times. Fast turnaround https://connkurmodelparts.com/
  4. Thanks for all the input guys. I went to the MCW website and actually picked #1571 Coral sand lacquer. I think it was used on the 57 Tbirds. Personally I like it better than the original Sunset coral that I picked. I also ordered their primer and clear coat. The Tbird build is still a way out yet, I’m finishing up a 1913 Ford Model T right now, then moving on to Hellers 47 Renault 4CV before I start the Tbird. Thanks again for helping me with the color choice.
  5. Sorry for all the questions , do I need to use their primer ? I get so much great information here and respect everyone’s input thx
  6. I’m going to build Revells 56 TBird and would like to match this color if possible. Thanks in advance
  7. I’m building Revells 1913 Model T, I would like to add spark plug wire like this. Anyone try this before, if so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance,
  8. Earlier this month I asked for help matching this color. With everyone’s help I came up with Sierra Gold. I made the mistake of ordering it from Gravity Colors USA. Two weeks went by with my order showing “processing “. I emailed them and after no answer for two days, I went to my PayPal account and canceled my order, which I’m glad I used because I was refunded my money within hours of my request. Thanks to the abundance of information I receive from everyone here, I found out there is also a Gravity Colors in Spain. I decided to order from them because I really wanted the Sierra Gold. I placed my order on May 18th and it was promptly processed and I received an email stating it was shipped. Much to my surprise the mailman rang my doorbell a little while ago and had me sign for a package- it was my paint all the way from Spain in eight days ! I have read on here where some folks have had issues with the USA franchise, but good results with the European version. If I order Gravity paints again it will definitely be from Spain. I don’t know enough about Gravity Colors to really bash them , but they have a fair amount of complaints on the BBB website Again I would like to thank you guys for the abundance of useful information here that I put to use in my modeling endeavors Now if I can just remember everything I’ve learned about airbrushing here, as I’ve pretty much been using rattle cans lately lol I
  9. Thanks again everyone, this gives me a few different options. This build is coming up after I finish one of those UGears wooden models. I decided to take a break from the traditional kits , and build a couple of these wooden kits, I must say I’m thoroughly enjoying the change of pace.
  10. I knew you guys would come through. Thanks for the help !
  11. I’m going to build a 37 Chevy trying to match this color as I can. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance,
  12. Come on guys , you really need to do something about this , I don’t see this on other sites
  13. Can’t even open link to completed cars now. Gettin crazy.
  14. I usually just read the posts on here and really enjoy learning new techniques and seeing some beautiful builds I can’t sit by anymore listening to the complaints even before this kit is in our hands . Whenever a new model kit is introduced, it never fails ,someone instantly finds fault with it. I just don’t understand. I have built 100s of kits over the years and I’m always excited when a new one comes out, which is not very often these days. I definitely can’t speak for everyone but my models are built and looked at by my wife and maybe one of my kids then into the cabinet. My point is no one that looks at them really knows if anything is wrong with the dimensions. In my opinion Tim is probably one of the most knowledgeable guys around when it comes to kit accuracy, he’s been doing this a lot longer than any of us on here I’m sure. So I will have to agree with him on this matter. I’m not going to worry about the roof line at all. I’m going to buy the kit when it comes out and have a blast building it. Sometimes you guys are just too much. I already know what the responses will be to my comments, “if we’re paying good money for a kit we demand accuracy “. If you don’t like the kit don’t buy it. Quit building models if your not happy with the kits that are coming out today. I do not plan on getting into any arguments here , so I will not have anything more to say about this. I just couldn’t handle all the complaints anymore, as I’m following this post trying to learn ideas about the build through Tim’s review.
