  1. Given all the revell fords with separate frames and etc, not to mention much better flatheads, I would have liked to see them used in this kit. I am thinking revell forty ford-48. As frames and running gear are basically the same. I know that the revell 48 fords have a much better flathead. I am thinking of these as I still want to retain late40's-early 50's feel
  2. Hi Guys I just got the recently released revell 36 ford. Although on some level it is kool. I feel that using the basic mono. kit from the 60's,they could have made it better. The motor is not up to the current standards of revell. Basically my question is what revell kit has a separate frame, and more accurate flathead that could replace this kits. There are no separte exhaust manifolds and pipes and the heads are terrible. The motor could have been replaced with one of revells (newer) and better flatheads. I feels that would have been more of an improvement than the donk wheels they did add.
  3. Reminds me of my 57 belair 4dr hrdtp. I got the car from a friend whose family owned a garage. It was abandoned on the side of a highway. My best friend had a late 348 hipo that he had intended to install in a jimmy pickup. He sold the jimmy and the engine was sitting in his garage. I needed a motor,he gave it to me. It originaly had a 3-2 setup. but my buddy only had the four barrel manifold. It was a GREAT car and a real stump puller.
  4. The kit is not in error regarding the lack of rear seat. The kit is based on the 150 utility which did not have a rear seat. It was intended for salesmen, etc and rear seat was left out for them to carry products. Standard 150's did have a rear seat for passengers. This was not the intended function for the utility model.

  6. I have a resin of the Rod&Custom Dream Truck. Just got great article and pics of it when it was first "finished" But I am now puzzled. The resin has a early johan type chassis plate. I would like to have a more accurate (detailed) chassis. Reading 1957 article, it implys that that the olds passenger car frame was not used, but the 50 chevy truck frame was. And in listing what was done, it lists a dropped axle. NOT the independant suspension hinted at by the chassis plate. If it had airbags and dropped axle,It would be similar to that used in Barris Ala Kart. Anyone know or have pics ?????????
  7. Anyone know when the revell 57 chev. black widow will be available ?

  10. Now that is what is great about local hobby shops. The really good ones will take the extra step to serve the customer. Unlike the big box stores that will not make any effort at all to procure anything other than what is in the store.
  11. The reason you are having problems finding it is a NAME CHANGE. It is now labeled PLEDGE with future shine. Hope this helps. Got mine at wallyworld.
