It's more like "I put a piece of plastic over the hole and glued it more or less flat..." I went around and sanded most of the edges of joins flat. Filed the hood and trimmed a little off it just to get it flat, I'll have to now build it up with more tiny strips. Those little hairs you see there are stringy remains of the plastic body. It's that China-y plastic that you can dig into with a fingernail, and it holds glue only when it wants to, but sanding it to get some tooth helps. I finally get to use this putty I got for Christmas. "Mr. White" putty? As in Walter White? Bomb nursing homes, cook crystal meth, make model putty... From what little I've experienced with it so far, I like it more than the Tamiya stuff. It seems to be curing already, and feels more plasticky. This is the first run. So after sanding the Mr. White down as much as I felt necessary, I applied a good amount of Tamiya stuff. This should be all I'm going to do for major putty work.
