SteveG
I managed to get this done just in time to give this to my Friend Jim on Christmas Eve day. It's a Replica of his car which is currently getting freshened up to become a fun summer time driver. To me it looks like he doing a concours restoration. Anyway, I built it as a Thank You for some restoration work he did on my Firebird Formula recently. This was built mostly out of the box but I added a few things to match his car. The C6 Automatic, shifter and brake pedal are from the AMT Fairlane GTA kit. I used the interior from a Diecast Bullett kit so I didn't have to wait for the correct interior from Revell. used a combination of the kit and Keith Marks Decals plus some tire and underhood markings from the Revell 70 Torino GT. I also shaved of all the bumper guards and the front license plate bracket. I would have had the bumpers replated if I had more time but I used some BMF to hide the trimmed areas instead. I found a parts box antenna to match the power unit on his car. A rare option according to Jim. guess I did a good job of keeping it a surprise as Jim had no idea what I was up to. He was thrilled to get it and told me this will probably be the best present he's getting this year. Needless to say I was sure glad he liked it. Thanks for looking !!! -Steve P.S. if your interested in some of the in-progress pics just follow the link 68 Mustang CJ project

The photography is exceptional and just makes the car look so much better. You got my attention with it and I'm not a muscle car fan.
