Miatatom
I've needed a way to handle/hold models while sanding and came up with this. I bought a foam tube at Walmart, about $3. I think they call them noodles, not sure. The holder can be pressed into the inside of the model and works great because it gives something extra to hang on to. Just cut a short section and split it down one side. The split can be used to place increasing thicknesses of material (wood, foam, etc) to hold larger models. vypurr59
Have you used them to hold while you paint? I think these may dissolve when exposed to enamels and lacquers.
cchapman195
Thats a great idea for sanding and polishing as you said. Thanks for sharing.
Miatatom
Right cchapman195, I forgot to mention polishing. I needed something because I'm still learning not to be so heavy handed.

bobthehobbyguy
Great tip. Even cheaper source for noodles is a dollar store.

No, I use a section of 3/4" plumbing pipe with 2 sided tape on top to hold bodies for painting.
