  1. thanks guys! I've been really busy again and havent got alot of model time but I have striped all the factory chrome and I'm going to try clading it soon. I also got the Cummins installed and most of the hoses and intakes modified to work. this seems like the slowest part doing all the small details but its paying off. I'll try to post some pic today of the progress
  2. yeah I'm still modifying the driveshaft so it wouldnt be a barber shop pole as soon as you turned the cummins loose. I'll have some more pictures soon
  3. I'll jump in on this one with these two entrys if there is still room on the lot. RG 359 pete with a box trailer and a COE Kenworth with a race hauler
  4. thanks guys! so i'm almost done fabing in the 460 Cummins, but now I need to paint it. All the pictures I'm coming up with show the whole engine black except the valve cover being red, Is this right?
  5. Oh even better! of coarse I think my wife would like to see more unstarted kits started so she can see them on the shelfs and not in the boxes. Probably going to break out a couple of RG 359's and see where I get from there
  6. Cool thanks, kinda wish I knew about this one before I started the last couple of trucks but I'll see what I can round up. DOT legal and gotta start from a new kit.....this could be fun!
  7. So is it too late to jump in on this one?
  8. I already have the air brakes and hazmat on my class B, do I still have to use an air brake rig? I work for the railroad and we are required the B at minimum but if I get my A I can bid to material handling trucks which would get me out of the heat of welding(since I've already been down with heat this year) and into the seat of a job I've always wanted, driving them trucks!
  9. I've heard that if you already have a class B that you can take your class A using a pickup and a gooseneck trailer if you dont have a 18 wheeler just sitting around. Any truth to that? I'd like to up grade my class B
  10. Okay finally got some model time in this week and got some pictures for ya all. did the interior with lots of leather color for that texas feel. painted the fenders and made the mounts for them now just waiting to get the wheels on so I can finish
  11. Nice job! now how about some plans for building that hopper
  12. highway, thanks for the ideas. I still really like that Ford, alot of work in that sleeper
  13. Okay I've been away from this build for a couple of weeks tring to get stuff done around the house but now its model time . Eric sent me some really cool fenders and now I'm needing to mount them. I got the FR2 fenders( they look like camel humps)like the ones I've been seeing alot lately on custom trucks around here. I'm looking for creative ways to mount them on my truck; does anyone have any cool ideas they'd like to share? I want them as smooth as possible but solid because I have a little girl who likes to look with her fingers Any ideas would be awesome!
