ryanm
hello ya'll here is my version of rusting plastic. i started with amt's 55 chevy cameo this will be curbside so i notched the body for stance. and the rest will be body work and a little interior work. after cleaning up the body a bit lay down your primer let primer dry then lightly sand spots you want rusty and brush on rust enamel pretty liberally. let dry then run under the faucet the wetter the better. sprinkle salt everywhere you want. the water allows the chipping effect where primer shows along with rust. spray your main color while still wet let dry fully then run under hot water brushing salt and loose paint off. brush on drawing ink i use higgens black magic for my drawings and now for my modelswash off after about 2 to 3 minutesand it will fill lines and leave a bit of black chipping then i go back with the rust enamel and some sand paper and hit spots that look to man made thanks for reading and hope it helps. ill post this in the under glass forum by the end of the year i hope thanks again ryan
