WizPorsche944
Hey guys id like to try my hand at building a modern F1 racecar like the Tamiya Ferrari F2001 or the modern Revell Germany Mercedes F1. Are these kits as hard to build as they look ? Who here has built one.
DavidChampagne
I have built several Tamiya f1 cars. Both in 1/20 and 1/12 scale. Have several more to build.Complicated? A bit, but, the fit is so good that it really is not difficult. Time consuming yes. Lots of detail painting, etc.I can't comment on Revell. Never built any of those.I highly recommend the Tamiya kits. A bit pricey but worth every penny.Just take your time and use the glue sparingly. They are not like most "American" kits that require lots of glue to hold parts in place. The fit is amazing.
JM485
I have built the revell mclaren, and it was a good kit. It is definately a challenge, however, and make sure you have some decal solution to help you on the decals. They are a bit tedious, but can build up into a great looking build, so if you have a bit of experience, I say go for it!
