cherokeered
I want to spray Tamiya TS-74 Clear Red over a gold base both from the rattle cans as I don't have a airbrush. Is there any tricks to spraying the clear red in order for it to come out nice? Has anyone used this color before?
TooOld
I've sprayed the Clear Red over a black , a white , and a silver base coat with no problems . It goes on very smooth and easily . Your main concern is getting the gold on nice and smooth as you can't sand it before spraying the clear red . I'd test it first to make sure . High octane
Go EASY on the number of coats of candy color, because too many coats will lose the candy effect of the base coat showing through. Example, if your top coat is candy red, green, blue, you want your basecoat color to show through like silver or gold or whatever you choose. I hope this helps.
