My question is how can i bring down the larger opening and make them both match again any info would be greatly appreciated if styrene is the way to go im not sure how to use it can someone please explain? thanks http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/af73/montelsc/72grandville020_zps0fe07d6e.jpg http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/af73/montelsc/72grandville022_zps955d92ca.jpg Edited February 3, 2013 by montelsc
Ace-Garageguy
Your model is made of styrene. All you have to do to fix it is to glue a styrene strip the same thickness as the quarter panel in place (shape it carefully to about the correct curve with your fingers before gluing) inside the wheel-arch, let it dry completely, and re-shape it to match the side you like. Making a template from cardboard will allow you to get both sides exactly the same.

sjordan2
You've already gotten a couple of good suggestions, but you may get more responses from people who want to help if you move this thread to the Q&A section where it belongs. Ace-Garageguy
Let me get this straight im closeing the well again with the styrene and re opening it smaller. Am i correct?? Yes, basically. You just glue in enough plastic to make the opening smaller than what you want the finished opening to be, let it dry thoroughly, and then re-open it to the shape you want. Ace-Garageguy
Thanks for the info il let you know how it turns out You should do fine. I've messed up a lot of things over the years and fixed them just like this. Messed up something just the other day. No biggie. Models forgive you if you just keep at it, and anything can be fixed...sometimes several times.
