crazyrichard Posted February 25, 2013 Author Share Posted February 25, 2013 thnx guys ..well yes i left it alone for a while , i just could not find the right feel and look ..and surely after a while when i started again its just came natural ..also i have experimented a lot with weathered metal paint and now have a decent enough tenchniquefirst i was working with wood and tbh that was not the look i was after for a greasy garage ...so i myself are pretty pleased with the way its heading atmand yes you always get inspired by others , thats the fun of seeing other threads > you learn a lot by just seeing whats possible Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

crazyrichard Posted February 26, 2013 Author Share Posted February 26, 2013 didnt do to much today , just made a second wall socket and next to the 2 i then had made lightswitches .. they are so tiny i can place 4 on one fingernail so making a tumble switch was a but tricky so i used a pin and i think it looks quite nice right ?? put a revell decal on the doors window the rolling door will also get way more detail like pinlocks , hinges and a mechanism Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

crazyrichard Posted February 27, 2013 Author Share Posted February 27, 2013 lol thnx well its finally progressing now , i have bright led lights to make like hanging lights later on and spotlights .. then when all the tools and jacks and stuff will come in the realism will only increse also want to make cartboard boxes and stuff .. so much in my head that still needs to ome out lol today continued the storage room and attic i wanted some doors and used the pieces that where suppost to go on my opel blitz coe truck , since i build that as a hotrod truck i had these to play with they where to small in width so i used some styrene placed them opened up like this painted the doors green and the hinges steel , and modiefied the stairs so they steps are now level .. i'm happy with the result these are all cut pieces from the big attic i first made set in place then called a mechanic to screw a piece of diamond plate on top in the beginning i made a scratch build colom drill and grind/polisher , now thinking where to place them and make a base plate and get some powerlines to them and make a biymore detail like switches Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

crazyrichard Posted February 27, 2013 Author Share Posted February 27, 2013 thnx guys strated to scratch build a cabinet to hang above the workbench , used steel pins as knobs for the doors and again placed the doors slightly open for that extra dimension did the cabinet red , its real fireengine red but due to the evening pics it looks real dull also did the workbench red , not completly , just a mix strated some piping , its the first rough placement , where the pipes meet i will make a sleeve and i will make a shutter with turnwheel and some brakets the reason the rear inside was not painted > placed some diamond plate in there to ad some bling .. its all filthy and weathered and now i'm at the point where every now and then i will ad some more shiney things to balance it out a bit my 1/24 employees are present Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
crazyrichard Posted February 27, 2013 Author Share Posted February 27, 2013 just got a awsome e-mail , this guy in holland showed me a model made with a cnc machine of a f1 car smaller then your fingernail.. so i said how cool would i be if you coulkd make a ford coupe deuce .. now the thing is he did those bodys in large scale and now mailed me telling me he went and made on for my diorama .. this is the unfinished version how cool wil this be painted and on a shelf in the garage !!!!!!!!!!!! crazyrichard Posted February 28, 2013 Author Share Posted February 28, 2013 thnx guys did a nother round on the red cabinet , the workbench , desk and heater first used some dark wood-stain (clear) on the wooden tops and those really popped and came to life. then did some clear on all the red parts wich also did a lot and last used some matt black over the previous grey i put on it as weathering so there where to tones of darked grease and filth dirt the attic was a bit blend with the silver and green so i redid the railing with real wood and used wood tstain on that as well will make a raling along the stairs in the same style with wood on top and made some more magazines , now did the classic hotrod issues from back in the day Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

crazyrichard Posted March 1, 2013 Author Share Posted March 1, 2013 thnx for the awsome comment made a storage peice for teh grease barrels , i want to make some sort of pump with lines so they can get grease there painted it red first and added a large valvoline decal en "some" grease i also bought a desk a while ago , it said 1/24 but was way to wide for the scale so i cut that in half in lenght then used the 2 parts like this to make a narrower long workbench , added a small pillar in themiddle for strenght and a new pillar under the colkomn drill , left overs from the altered lanterns on the wall the drill with real drill bit , will get all new paint from top to bottom will place it like this when finished made a door front with knob and added a wooden top out of 3 strips of wood and painted it with wood stain Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
