I'm looking to take any pickup, lower it, motor swap it and just build a sweet street truck out of it. if you have already started one, feel free to join. As long as there not completed.. put a v8 in your ranger and lower it on 20s or drag slicks, build it how you would if you had the money. Anyone interested? Unfortunately don't got the money for them, while digging through my grandpas attic last week after him passing away and found some models he built and decided I'd take on the hobby and I'd love to start with this. Chuck Most Posted April 30, 2012 Share Posted April 30, 2012 I'll probably use the '93 Ranger Splash (Flareside) kit, not sure about what engine to use at the moment. Probably a small block Ford from one of the Revell Deuce kits, or I might go nuts with a 385-series big block. I guess it depends on how far I want to go with chassis mods- that big block would require a bit of re-engineering to both ends of the chassis. I could see stuffing one of them full of Corvette power! I generally don't do much inb the way of trucks; I only have three of them that I've built on my shelf that I can think of. If you want to just do a v8 swap, that works... i was just putting the lowering out there cause that's what I'd do if I was putting a high.
