  1. Bit of experimenting/testing. 3D printed a XW/XY chassis floor pan from Altered 3D
  2. Starting to plan out some idea's for a DDA Ford Falcon XY gasser/streetfreak buddy build with @Brockc Figured I would start with wheels and working out the stance, as thats where most of my builds begin. 3D printed some wheel and tyre files from Z Force Model Worx And will be using a Texas 3D Customs engine.
  3. Hey Martin, Thanks for dropping by mate. 😄 Still have a nice stock pile of TS-14 Black. I finally found a base coat, clear coat system I can get consistent results with. So yeah builds will have different colours now. I still get the Pegasus wire wheels from Model Round Up , currency conversion and shipping is ridiculous, but its a price you have to pay for sourcing a specific product.
  4. Starting to build the XY Ford Falcon GT. 3D printed some wheels, now to start preparing the body for paint.
  5. Test fitting some new wheels and tyres I 3D printed for the XY Ford Falcon GT.
  6. Finished building the XW Ford Falcon GT. So much enjoyment getting to build Australian cars, and im so happy with the end result.
  7. Completed my XW Ford Falcon GT build. More images in my thread.
  8. Wet sanded and polished the body, then painted the bonnet stripes using a Lazy Modeller paint mask and painted the side door window frames. Also got the grill detailed.
  9. Small update on some progress made on the XW GT Ford Falcon. Engine bay sub assembly complete. Also have all the interior parts ready to be installed when doing final assembly
  10. Good to see you making some progress mate. Should have look around the cheap shops for a sticker sheet with sets of stars. Could use them as a paint mask or for graphics.
  11. Applied Alclad chrome to wheels and you know how it is, just couldnt wait to do a mock up.
  12. Built another HQ Holden Lowrider awhile back for a build off on Instagram.
  13. Applied some clear to the XW Falcon GT body and components.
  14. Thanks Jim, I have to admit those panels lines are amongst some of the best looking ive ever done. .2mm Dspiae. Thanks Bob, always appreciate you dropping by to leave a comment Hey Steve, things are great now the summer heat wave has ended. Perfect temps for getting to bench and doing some painting. Quite a bit of work to shoe horn the LSX 454 into the engine bay of the HQ. First Twin Turbo engine ive built so it was a learning experience. Appreciate the compliments, always strive to build clean, my eyes are not what they use to be but with magnifiers I get by and still enjoy building. Hey Paul, yeah nah no photoshopping going with the images, just crop and adjust the lighting if needed. Means a lot to get a compliment from a builder whom I look to for inspiration, plan to build a 66 Chevy Malibu soon that will be influenced by your build thread. Seeing how well you are with all other aspects of building, im sure you will have that eureka moment with the Alclad soon. Its nice to know people enjoy seeing the work that goes on here at Lead City Customs.
