I received this Parts Pack and I'm very disappointed - compared to the quality of the blue line slicks, these are very poorly done - the lettering is so light, it looks like they were running out of ink when they were printed!

I'm using a set on a current build and they look pretty acceptable to me.

Actually knowing what they're suposed to look like helps a lot when it comes to evaulating products....yes, those look just fine.

Are those the jumbo slicks - my question was about the "small" slicks - but that got lost in the moderator's shuffling of my question into a big bin of generalized thoughts - sure wish he wouldn't do that!

I checked with my retailer, and he said that his entire inventory of the "small" slicks looks that way. He is going to check with his supplier and get back to me...

Maybe they are supposed to look like they do, just like the stenciled lettering on the 1-1 tires

(did you try looking them up on the web?)...

why would your local retailer know what they're "supposed" to look like?

Where's a picture of the tires you *think* are wrong?

I have tried that! Just because there are 100s of messages on a general topic does NOT mean that my answer is buried somewhere in the mess, and I'll be darned if I'll spend HOURS and HOURS trying to FIND an answer to a specific question when a simple NEW question and answer would do the same for me and you would be without work!

I have never seen a forum that has been so MICRO-MANAGED as yours! You waste my time constantly taking questions from one area and posting them in an entirely different area, just because someone started a thread years ago, and most of it is a waste of time! I have complained to Gregg about your heavy handed editting, and I will complain again! You are making this forum a MOCKERY!

By the way, if you didn't want this to be posted in a public area, you SHOULD have sent me an email!

You know - if you make things any more hostile and wasteful of my time, I'll be happy to have you close down my account!

You do know that the lettering on the 1:1 tires weren't a bright white unless someone redid them with a tire stick to make them look that way, and modelers have been trying to get the lettering right for years, I know you don't want to look for it (I don't blame you) but there are even threads about how to achieve this in the tips forums.

Did your Mama ever tell you that you'll get more accomplished with humility the antagonism? With all the people on the forums that don't bring their problems with the moderators to a public place, I'm sure you'll not be missed by them if you decide to leave.

I just hope that you were having a bad day and it was just easy to vent on here rather than to those who made your day a wreck, and I don't blame you, I've done the same thing on other forums but I did get back on after gathering my wits and apologized to the person I attacked, and to those that had to see my bad side. Enjoying our hobby is the key, after all is said and done they're still just toys, regardless of what we spend on them.

he has got a point, actually, a really good point. what in the heck did his post have to do with M&H racemaster slicks other than they happen to be in a so called "parts pack"? does that mean that any mention of a "parts pack" should end up in this thread? that makes no sense whatsoever. and whoever is moving stuff around needs to sit back and pick his nose for awhile as some more gainful employment and leave peoples posts where they put them unless there is some COMPELLING reason to do otherwise. in this case his question lost all context due to being moved to this thread. really really stupid move and I would be bugged too.

plus you ever try finding something less than obvious with your "seach function"? it sucks and so do the results, 9 out of 10 times.

but its probably just internet exploder that is the problem.

They were a lightly smoky white lettering.

Well, that's exactly what mine look like, too! I suppose the difference between these and the "jumbos" is simply a matter of size - the larger lettering just looks brighter. Oh well, I can always go back to the Blue Streak slicks. Thanks for the info!

OK Wayne, whatcha building here????? Coz it looks pretty freekin cool so far!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

Not Wayne, but that looks like a very excellent buildup of the JoHan 1970 Gene Show Challenger Funny Car kit, (later sold as the "Ram Rod" after the Snow licensing agreement ran out). It's an excellent kit, but was last available new some 25 years or so ago....TIM

I have purchasedarrow-10x10.png several sets of AMT`s pad printed "Goodyear Polygls GT" F60x15 and have been very please with them.

I have also seen the Goodyear "Blue Streak Dragway Specialarrow-10x10.png" 9.00x15 Drag Slicks at my LHS.

I have not been able to catch up with a set of the AMT PP013, Muscle Cararrow-10x10.png "Red Line" Tiresarrow-10x10.png, which are due due March 2015, so far but I hope they are a s nice as the Goodyear Ployglas tirearrow-10x10.png set.

Will there be a more "Treaded STREET" tires (not drag strip slicks) coming?

To compliment the Muscle Cararrow-10x10.png "Red Line" tires will there be a Muscle Car "Gold Line" tire set

GoldLine.jpg

and a Muscle Car "Blue Line" tire set?

The redlines are out but scarce on the ground! They are the Polyglas tires, just with red lines.

I've been bugging them to do white letter Firestone Wide Ovals for a while....
