chuckyr
Nice topic. The key to determined if it is a model or not is to look at the wheels and tires. The sheen and scale of wheels and tires is the most difficult to replicate on a model.
Dr. Cranky
I don't know, with the caliber of the great builders on this forum, that could be tough too.
MrObsessive
I tend to look at the glass. Not too many models have straight distortion free glass, which to me is a dead giveaway whether it's a model or not.
george 53
I tend to look at the weight(or lack of)on the tires, and for little nuts and bolts on it to see IF they could be reproduced in scale.Last week, I had seen the picture before, so I KNEW it was a model. my66s55
I flip a coin. Heads it's real, tails it's a model.

Another clue with the glass- very few modelers bother with the gaskets around the glass, and if they do, rarely get it to look right. mr moto
I look for the Made in China imprinted letters! Does that mean it's real or a model?
