  1. Love your avatar.

  2. Finished this 1983 Dodge Shelby Charger a couple of days ago. Didn't turn out to bad for an old MPC kit! This kit did come with the 85-87 Turbo hood and 5 lug Pizza wheels. I swapped in a 2.2 TII out of a MPC 88 Daytona kit. Did a bunch of extra details on it. I made my own exhaust and used a muffler out of a Revell Tuner kit. Tires are parts box, FMIC is a 4th gen F body radiator cut down. Interior I added flocking and a Pistol grip shifter. Painted it with Dupli-color Chrysler Dark Garnet Red Pearl with a Nissan Silver and topped with Dupli-color clear. The direction of this model is based off of a 86 that I had. Although I had Crab wheels on mine.
  3. Great take on a classic kit!
  4. That's pretty far out man 😎
  5. Looking through old pictures, not many did it.
  6. Thanks guys. With this being a large scale, the details are a little more easier to do.
  7. Finished this model at the beginning of this month. Did it up as a early 60s street/strip car. Wanted to do something other then the typical 409 build. Add a tri power and paint the valve covers, bam instant scale 348 lol. This is the Lindberg Don Nicholson kit. I modified the kit exhaust and got the intake from a 58 Impala kit and air cleaners from a Corvair kit. Added Cragar SS wheels and white wall tires, plus raised the back of the hood. Paint is Dupli-color Chrysler Dark Garnet Red Pearl with a GM Cayman Red insert. Interior is acrylic craft paint that mixed to get a gold and cream color that I liked.
  8. Long time no post... But just finished a refresh of this 32 that I originally built in the early 2000's. Basically got tired of looking at flat paint and primer. I kept the red wheels, firewall and engine from when I originally built it. I probably should of wet sanded and polished it, but it's hindsight now. I used Dupli-color Ford Medium Blue Metallic and acrylic craft paint for the interior and top. I wanted a 1950s hot rod look. I'll probably print out a 1953 ILL license plate for it later. Also going to try to find a fish tank for a display case to keep dust off of it. Was another gloomy day, so I had to mess with the pictures to brighten them up. Thanks for looking!
  9. Whats the difference between this kit and the Big Red Rod? Cause i just finished the Big Red Rod and looking at them, they seem to be the same.
  10. Front are from the kit and rear are Revell 32 Ford Big Deuce.
  11. Just looked in my stash. Unfortunately it's a LA small block.
  12. Got a few of these 330s in my stash and plan on putting them on a transporter. Will have a /6, 383, Max Wedge, and Hemi. Want a 318 poly, but can't find that engine. Now onto the two i built so far. The slant six is pretty much an optionless car. Does have a Dana in it though lol. I also added whitewalls. I did the usual BMF, plug wires and other small detials. One thing that is my pet peeve on these kits is the molded hood trim in the grill surround. Looks much better cut out and on the hood where it belongs. The 383 car i added a heater, radio, dual mirrors, windshield washer bladder, whitewalls, full wheel covers, and a 8 3/4 rear.
  13. Thanks guys!!!! I had to put another piece of furniture in my car room to display it lol.
  14. Long time no post, but thought I'd share this T Bucket i just finished. This is the chromeless kit from Ollie's but the lack of chrome didn't deter me from not making it into something that would love to own in real life. I did use some parts from Revell's Big Deuce and made some of my own too. I did raise the spring perch on the front and Z'ed the frame in the rear to get it to sit lower then Lindberg had it. The paint is Apple Barrel Pumpkin Orange. But here is my take on this kit.
