Rob Hall Posted March 25, 2014 Share Posted March 25, 2014 I have multiples of all of these kits, but none are handy to check....IIRC, the '69 Chevelle SS hardtop and convertible has the driveshaft molded to the chassis. Does the AMT '70 Chevelle kit also have it molded in? How about the '72 (which was reissued maybe 7-8 years ago, not sure if that kit was based on the AMT or MPC tool). mikemodeler Posted March 25, 2014 Share Posted March 25, 2014 I remember reading that a better chassis to use under these cars could be found in the AMT'69 Olds Cutlass as it was more detailed and actually fit better underneath it. A shame that one must use two kits to get one decent model but I guess it depends on who is building the kit and how accurate you want the finished model to be. I'm mentally going to through my inventory to figure out where I can source the rear suspension, exhaust, and driveshaft from without buying more kits for parts for a resin build..
