MAGNUM4342 Posted July 27, 2012 Share Posted July 27, 2012 Ahem...for a start, "whiskey jugs" can be seen in the Beverly Hillbilly's kit. It's the proverbial "little brown jug". However, for a proper moonrunner what you would want would be mason jars. Moonshiners found it much easier to transport and control in crated mason jars like grandma used to have preserves in. There were wooden and eventually cardboard crates available to place the jars in. The jars were often wrapped in or had hay stuffed around them in the crate to protect them.
