Pat Cardz
Fresh off the bench. This was supposed to be quick build and had hoped to finish before the end of last year. I encountered many set backs but managed to push through it and get it done. Edited January 15, 2008 by Pat Cardz
Raul_Perez
Very nice weathering and aging, Pat!! That's a very convincing look!! The backdrop helps sell the realism!!
Nick F40
Very cool! I always liked this year in Chevy pickups and the way you did it is well done, love the wheels!
scubadiver411
Great job on the engine bay, it looks very realistic and weathered perfectly. The truck looks awsome, you did one heck of a good job on that one. STEVE ALLEN

Fleetside
I love that build...I have a 1:1 that isn't too far off from it. The big block addition is great! and the rims too ..where did you get them...
Aaronw
It's nice, to see a working truck once in a while and the wheels are a big improvement. The wheels that come in the kit just don't look right. Where did you find the hardhat? I've been looking for hardhats without luck.
lizardlust
You did a masterful job with a rather tired mold, Pat. I sincerely hope my latest attempt turns out a tenth as nicely as yours has! I am particularly taken with the skillful light weathering - I WISH I had the restraint that you have!!!
Pat Cardz
The rims are from ARII 73 Challenger. Hard hat, darn I can't remember what kit I got those(there was two) out of. Usually when I open a new kit and see something I might use on a future build I add it to my parts bins. Thanks for hte comments guys! Simon
I love this build, it really looks right. I have heard that the 72 Chevy kit is not one of the best, but seeing these photos makes me want to pick one up all the same! Nice.

Aaronw
I was told there might be hard hats in the MK / AMT '72 Chevy Blazer too, I just went and checked and there are some in there. Thanks

tuffone20
Man you did an awesome job with that kit!! Looks like an one I've seen up in Prescott, AZ at an antique shop even has the same kind of wheels on it.
roadhawg
Great lookin' truck! Very realistic! What color did you use for the blue? That looks like the exact factory color. I been planning one of these as a 1:1 truck I had. Hope it comes out this good!
Pat Cardz
Hmmm, I was surprised to see this one up again. When I seen the title I was excited to see somebody else model then I realized it was my thread.lol Anyways, thanks for the props guys. 67-72 chevys are my favorite body style so I wanted to do this one justice, despite the shortfalls of the kit. roadhawg, the color is called Ocean blue, its an automotive paint offered in the motomaster series. Its actually close to grabber blue, but that was just from comparing the caps. I look forward to seeing what you can do with this kit. 93Z34
You definitely did a great job on that Chevy Pat. It's one of the most convincing builds I've seen done with this kit and your perseverence really paid off. That is one model to be proud of!!!! Marc @ MPC Motorsports
Way cool!!! All it needs is a pair of rubber boots crammed between the bed and the cab.
